Previous music theatre credits include the recent actor-muso production of Side Show along with several new musical-development projects with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, The Wakeful Chamber by Rebecca Sharp and Pippa Murphy (Play, Pie, Pint), and three seasons as assistant director with the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. Emily’s production of Uncanny Valley by Rob Drummond (Borderline/Edinburgh Int’l Science Festival) received the 2016 CATS award for Best Production for Children and Young People.

Other recent productions include Invisible Army by Victoria Beesley (Terra Incognita), Julius Caesar (RCS), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Bard in the Botanics) and Potterrow by Martin McCormick (Cumbernauld Theatre).  She has also worked extensively with the Traverse, Theatre Uncut, and Stoirm Og and is currently developing a new production of Cymbeline for the RCS (February 2019).
