Joe Douglas is a theatre director, dramaturg and writer.  He was Artistic Director at Live Theatre in Newcastle upon Tyne (2018-20), Associate Artistic Director at Dundee Rep (2016-17) and Trainee Director at the National Theatre of Scotland (2007-8).
Joe’s theatrical work includes Clear White Light (Live Theatre), Stand By (Scottish Theatre Producers), The Cheviot, the Stag and the Black, Black Oil (Dundee Rep/NTS), Arabian Nights (Lyceum Theatre), Death of a Salesman, The BFG (Dundee Rep), Dr Stirlingshire’s Discovery (Lung Ha/Grid Iron), Bloody Trams (Traverse), Educating Ronnie (Utter), The Last Polar Bears, Our Teacher’s a Troll (NTS).  His production of Death of a Salesman won three awards, including Best Production, at the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland in 2017.  His work has been awarded with four Fringe Firsts at the Edinburgh Festival.
