After graduating with a first-class honours in voice from Trinity College of Music, Sally worked as a singer/pianist across the South East of England until 2004. Then inSeptember 2006, Sally joined Sounds of Progress as Music Development Officer. Sounds of Progress later became Limelight Music (Scotland’s largest employer of disabled musicians to date), where Sally worked as Musical Director until 2011. Sally’s theatre credits include Actor/Musician in Threepenny Opera and Last Little Fish in the Net for Theatre Workshop; for Fittings Multimedia Arts: Last Freakshow, and Heelz on Wheels; Can You Hear Me? for Birds of Paradise; and The Winter King for the Tron Theatre; Musical Director for Sounds of Progress in Heid; also, of Tron Theatre pantomimes from 2006-2010; for the Citizens’ Theatre in They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? and Liar; and for Limelight/Fittings in cutting edge musical Raspberry. In July 2012, Sally worked as performer and Musical Director in Tron Theatre production Cannibal Women of Mars and was part of the cast of Edmund the Learned Pig in 2013, 2014 and 2015. In 2018, Sally worked as a TV judge as part of The Hundred for BBC’s all together now series 2. Additionally, Sally worked as a music facilitator, delivering pioneering music and storytelling workshops for children and young people across central Scotland. In spring 2021, Sally featured as performer and composer for Birds of Paradise production the Super Special Disability Roadshow, written by Robert Softly Gale. Working with director Joe Douglas on this show has inspired Sally to start development on an all-new one-woman show, inspired by her experiences as a blind mother
